Should

purchase LPG cylinders from approved cylinder LPG distributors [PDF format] because these distributors are subject to the monitoring of their respective registered gas supply companies and will conduct regular safety checks for their customers;
Pay attention to distributor’s past safety performance [PDF format] when purchasing LPG cylinders.
pay attention to the number of LPG cylinders (including empty cylinders) stored at home or in the shop and make sure that the total nominal water capacity of the LPG cylinders does not exceed 130 litres (photo);
record the LPG consumption rate, draw up the best timetable for placing purchase order of cylinder LPG replacement and confirm the quantity required so as to avoid the accumulation of excessive LPG cylinders;
keep the receipts of the recently purchased LPG cylinders for record and for contacting the cylinder LPG distributors in the future;
return the used LPG cylinders to the approved cylinder LPG distributors as soon as possible.

Should Not

purchase LPG cylinders from a shop which has not been approved by a registered gas supply company;
purchase LPG cylinders from persons/shops that are unidentified, cannot provide sales receipts or sell LPG cylinders supplied by gas supply companies that are not registered;
dispose of used LPG cylinders improperly or give them to the scrap metal collectors.
