Lift and Escalator Installation
- 1.Does a new lift tower nearby an existing public housing estate be classified as a "newly constructed building" or "major retrofitting works" under the BEEO?
- If BA13 Form submission to Buildings Department (BD) is required for this lift tower, this lift tower is regarded as a new building under the BEEO. In addition, if the main electrical switch for this lift tower exceeds 100A 1-phase or 3-phase, this lift tower is regarded as "newly constructed building" under the BEEO and Stage One and Stage Two Declarations are required to be made by the developer.
- If BA14 Form submission to BD is required for this lift tower, this lift tower is not regarded as a new building. Form of Compliance (FOC) is required to submit if additional building services installation works at this lift tower are the "major retrofitting works" in accordance with Table 10.1 of the latest edition of the Building Energy Code.
