Purposes of the Register
This register provides the list of registered escalator engineers under the Lifts and Escalators Ordinance (Cap. 618) (“LEO”). According to section 106 of the LEO, the register is made available for public inspection for the purposes of enabling a member of the public to ascertain whether a person is a registered escalator engineer and, if the person is so registered, whether the registration of the person is in force.
Information in the Register shall only be used for the purposes specified above. Any misuse of the information therein may constitute contravention of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.486).
