去年12月舉行的「合約工作安全研討會─機電工作」，所有講者都一致強調，恪守業界的最佳作業措施和追求創新，是機電工作安全和服務可靠的關鍵。他們還指出，照顧工友、鄰里和環境的公德習慣，更有助我們創造公眾價值。

此次研討會，主要讓業內人士分享經驗，學習機電維修工作的最佳安全作業措施和公德習慣，以求達致工地「零意外」的長遠目標。

助理署長/3戴德謙先生在研討會上指出，我們應確保工作人員的安全，以便為所有設施提供無間斷的維修服務，方便市民大眾。他說:「我們的工地要保持乾淨、整潔，以求達致零空氣污染和零噪音污染。」

他還鼓勵所有承辦商要信守公德，盡一切努力減少工程對受影響各方帶來的任何負面影響。


Best Practice and Innovation
are Key to E&M Safety

Speakers at the “Contract Work Safety Seminar – Electrical & Mechanical Work” held in last December unanimously emphasised that adopting industry best practice and innovation were the key factors for work safety and service reliability in E&M work. They also pointed out that considerate practices (care for workers, neighbours and the environment) would be conductive to create value to the public.

The seminar was organised for industry practitioners to share best practices in work safety and considerate practices during E&M maintenance work. Our ultimate goal is to achieve zero accident in all work sites.

Mr. Tai Tak-him, Assistant Director/3 pointed out in the seminar that we should ensure safety of workers in order to provide uninterrupted maintenance services for all the facilities and enhance convenience for the community. “We should maintain a clean and tidy work site, hopefully air and noise pollution free,” he noted.

He also encouraged all contractors to be considerate and make every effort to minimise any negative impact on affected parties.
