1. When a train is on fire, what should passengers do?

  When a train is on fire, passengers on board should :

Keep calm;
Report the fire to the Train Captain by using the Emergency Call Handle or Call Button and speaking into the microphone;
If the fire is inside the train compartment, move away from the fire and use a fire extinguisher if it is safe to do so;
If the fire is outside the train, stay inside the compartment and keep the hopper windows closed to prevent smoke from entering into the train compartment unless instructed by staff;
As the Train Captain will endeavour to move the train into the next station for evacuation, follow the instructions given by MTR staff or emergency services personnel to evacuate the train.
