To support the Chief Executive’s 2008 - 09 policy direction, EMSD and the Environmental Protection Department have jointly developed a set of Carbon Audit Guildelines which provides a scientific approach towards auditing of greenhouse gases emission in commercial and residential buildings in Hong Kong. Carbon audit measures the total carbon emission equivalent from a designated building.

EMSTF is conducting a carbon audit project at the Arsenal House East Wing, Police Headquarters as a pilot project for the Hong Kong Police Force. The audit will be completed in early 2009. We have trained an engineering team with Certified Carbon Auditor Professional qualifications to offer technical support to the client departments with comprehensive carbon audit service.
