EMSD wins Baggage Handling System Maintenance Contract at Hong Kong International Airport
EMSD is awarded a 3-year maintenance contract for the Baggage Handling System (BHS) in the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) by the Airport Authority (AA). The supplementary clause of this contract allows AA to further extend the contract for another 3 years.
This is the second time EMSD secured the AA BHS maintenance contract through open tender, which indicates not only the competitiveness of EMSD but also the client's total recognition of, and satisfaction with, EMSD's work.
The BHS at HKIA is one of the largest and most advanced baggage handling systems in the world. Since the HKIA opened in July 1998 and for many years before that at the old Kai Tak Airport, EMSD has been providing comprehensive maintenance and repair service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week throughout the years to airport baggage handling system which is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of our world famous international airport. |
