Competing for top quality award ¡V ¡§Continuous Review and Improvement towards Perfection¡¨
The Year 2003 Quality Promotion Programme (QPP) ¡V Winner Showcase cum Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 25 November 2003 at the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre. About 400 EMSD staff and distinguished guests from our client departments and reputable firms participated.
Amongst over 110 improvement team projects, 22 work improvement teams (WITs) and 8 business process improvement (BPI) teams entered the final round of QPP departmental competitions.
Participating projects were assessed according to the cooperation and teamwork displayed, application of innovative ideas or established practices, effectiveness of the adopted solutions, and the results and achievements. Six winning WITs and BPI teams were selected and competed for the Best Project Presentation Award. Thanks to the wireless automatic voting system, our guests could do away with the marking sheets and the results were ready at the touch of a button.

Teams that excelled in the betterment of occupational health and safety also shared their achievements with the audience. Also awarded at the ceremony were distinguished teams with notable achievements in condition-based maintenance, remote imaging and remote monitoring, as well as energy conservation.
During the Winner Showcase, our Director had particularly appealed to all staff to keep up the momentum for continuous improvement, and be prepared for changes and challenges ahead, particularly along the forefront of technology, management and service excellence. |
