Aim
To enhance primary students' understanding on E&M safety, gas safety and energy efficiency.

Entry Requirements and Categories
This competition is open to all Hong Kong primary students who hold valid Hong Kong identity documents and student cards. The competition is divided in to Elementary Group (Primary 1 – 3) and Advanced Group (Primary 4 – 6). Each participant can only submit only one piece of drawing.

Submit Method
Participants should mail their work (maximum drawing size: A3), together with a completed entry form, to "E&M Safety Campaign 2008 Organizing Unit", the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong on or before 31 October, 2008 (according to postal chop).

All entries should deliver the message of E&M safety, gas safety and energy efficiency. Please clearly mark "Drawing Competition" on the envelope.

Judging Criteria
All entries will be judged on:
Presentation and promotion on the message of E&M safety,
gas safety and energy efficiency (40%)
Generality in the content of E&M safety, gas safety and energy efficiency (20%)
Interest of the drawing (20%)
Artistic degree of the drawing (20%)

Awards and Prizes
Each group will have:
One Champion: A trophy and Book coupons worth HK$500
One 1st runner up: A trophy and Book coupons worth HK$400
One 2nd runner up: A trophy and Book coupons worth HK$300
Ten commendation awards: A trophy and Book coupons worth HK$100

All winners will be notified before 7th November, 2008, and the awards will be presented in the E&M Safety Carnival 2008 at Victoria Park on 15th or 16th November, 2008.

Selected entries will be displayed at the E&M Safety Carnival.

Note:

1. The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and collaborating organizations' staffs and their family members or relatives are not allowed to participate in the competition. For the results of the competition, the organizing unit reserves the right to make the final decision.
2. All submitted entries will not be returned and the ownership of copyright of all drawings will be held by the organizing unit, including exhibiting the drawings in E&M Safety campaign and on the internet.
3. Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance Statement
   Under section 2.3.3.1 of the Code of Practice on the Identity Card Number and other Personal Identifiers, the EMSD and collaborating organizations (hereinafter referred to as the organizing unit) collect your identity card number to enable correct attribution of personal data as for your advancement of the interest. The organizing unit, under confidential condition, will make use of the personal data to provide the free information services in the future. The organizing unit cannot provide the necessary information, if the data is unable to be provided to the organizing unit.
