Aim
To enhance the understanding in E&M safety, gas safety and energy efficiency to the community.
Date of Competition
28th August, 2008 to 31st October, 2008
Entry Requirement
It is designed for all members of community in Hong Kong. Participants should hold valid Hong Kong identity documents. For the sake of fairness, organizing staff of Electrical and Mechanical Services Department will not participate in the competition.
Categories
This competition is divided into Individual Division, Secondary School Division and Collaborating Organisation Division.
| Individual Division | Every participant will join in the Individual Division, and his/ her result of the competition will be recorded in his/ her own individual account. |
| Secondary School Division: | Participants can join both the Secondary School and Individual Divisions, if he/ she is studying in the secondary school that is in the list of Secondary School Division. His/ her result of the competition will be recorded in both his/ her own individual account and the selected secondary school's account. Secondary schools which are interested in participating in this competition can add their names onto the list of Secondary School Division by registering with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. |
| Collaborating Organization Division: | If participant is a staff of the collaborating organizations, he/ she can join both the Collaborating Organization Division and Individual Division. His/ her result will be recorded in both his/ her own individual account and the selected collaborating organization’s account. |
Entry Method
Register and fill in the personal data now. Then answer the E&M safety, gas safety and energy efficiency multiple choice questions. All the marks will be recorded in the registered account. There is no limitation on the number of trials for each participant
Awards and Prizes
| Individual Division: | |
| Accumulative Scores Awards: | For each quiz, scores will be accumulative in the individual accounts. There is no limitation on the number of quizzes taken. The one with highest accumulative scores will be the winner. One Champion, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up will be chosen. Each winner will be awarded a trophy and a book coupon worth HK$ 500, HK$400, HK$300 and HK$200 respectively. |
| Commendation Awards: | The first 1000 participants getting score higher than 150 marks in one quiz will be awarded with a souvenir. Only one souvenir will be given for each participant. |
| Secondary School Division: | |
| Accumulative Scores Awards: | One Champion, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up will be chosen. Each winner will be awarded a trophy. |
| Highest Participation Awards: | One Champion, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up will be chosen. Each winner will be awarded a trophy. |

The winning schools, collaborating organizations and winners will be notified before 7th November, 2008, and awards will be presented in the E&M Safety Carnival 2008 at Victoria Park on 15th or 16th November, 2008

- For the results of the competition, the organizing unit reserves the right to make the final decision.
