Lifts and Escalators

• Install energy saving devices for lifts/escalators. These include:
  • Variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) drives and direct current motor controlled by solid-state elements for lifts.
  • VVVF drive systems and high gear systems for escalators.
  • Optical sensors to allow escalators to be stopped or slowed down when there are no users.
• Select a lift system with regenerative power: This regenerative power can be reused by other electrical installations in the building.
