Delivering Services to Newly Completed Aquatics in Tung Chung and Kennedy Town

EMSTF has been tasked to operate and maintain a solar hot water system for pool water heating, as well as solar and wind-power outdoor lighting at Tung Chung Swimming Pool. Renewable energy such as solar and wind-power energy are efficient and cost-effective, and the technologies are suitable for venues such as swimming pools. Other energy-efficient features at Tung Chung Swimming Pool include a water-cooled air-conditioning system and spectator seating with below-seat air outlets.

In Kennedy Town, where the public swimming pool was re-provisioned to facilitate the construction of the MTR West Island Line, EMSTF has participated at an early stage of the project to provide technical advice and maintenance requirements with a view to facilitating smooth handover of the engineering installations.  It is now responsible for the maintenance of the water filtration and sterilisation systems in the pool, as well as its electrical, mechanical and electronic installations.
