At EMSD, we value our people as our most valuable asset. We invest in them to nurture their professional expertise and leadership abilities essential for career advancement through job rotations, comprehensive training and robust development support.
We are always looking for people with a profound passion for engineering, strong sense of responsibilities and creativity, outstanding interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and ambitious aspirations to collaborate with us in shaping an innovative and sustainable future. Final year university students or recent graduate who thrive on challenges are particularly encouraged to join EMSD as Engineering Graduates.
EMSD's Training Scheme is distinguished for its alignment with the Graduate Scheme "A" Training recognised by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) for the following six disciplines. Engineering Graduates will be mentored by EMSD Directorates to support their professional and career development.
Engineering Graduates will receive on-the-job training across various divisions within the EMSD and other government departments. This immersive experience ensures that they will acquire professional knowledge in their respective disciplines, cultivating a comprehensive understanding of overseeing engineering projects and facilities in both government and the public sector.
Upon completion of the 2-year Scheme, Engineering Graduate will primarily progress to the position of Assistant Contract Engineer or Assistant Engineer. Assistant Engineer will be promoted to Engineer after acquiring a minimum of two years' experience and obtaining HKIE corporate membership or equivalent.
