LPG Cylinder Distributor Safety Performance Recognition Scheme

Rating Criteria

Under the Scheme, independent auditing companies commissioned by RGSCs rated the distributors based on their performance in various aspects such as LPG cylinder delivery arrangements, safety inspection of gas appliances, record keeping of customer receipts, employee training and maintaining gas safety operation records. Their performance will be assessed independently under a common standard set out in the Code of Practice for LPG Cylinder Distributors. The rating criteria were formulated by RGSCs and EMSD after several discussions. The rating results were verified by the EMSD.

The rating criteria are as follows:-

Rating Category

The rating results are classified as Gold, Silver and Bronze, with Gold being the highest safety performance category. With an aim of attaining the Gold category, distributors would be encouraged under the Scheme to continuously enhance their safety performance, ultimately benefiting the public.

The categories of rating are as follows:-

Distributors will display the Scheme’s logo and the rating certificate outside and inside their shops respectively for easy identification by the general public.

(1) Information in this Register of Distributors were provided by their respective Registered Gas Supply Company. Distributors are grouped by districts and distributor names are arranged in alphabetical orders.
(2) Registered under the Gas Safety (Registration of Gas Installers and Gas Contractors) Regulations, Cap.51. (*) Distributor and Registered Gas Contractor are both under the same principal shareholder.
