On an industry level, an active programme of talks, seminars and participation in both local and international conferences help to promote both the safety message and spread the word with regard to new developments and safety techniques in a number of our activities. Within the community, numerous talks and seminars are given regularly to the general public, including community organisations and owners of buildings in Hong Kong, to promote E&M safety and to generate awareness of the various statutory requirements under the Safety Ordinances.
On 17 and 18 November 2016, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) organized the EMSD Summit. Nearly thirty overseas and local experts were invited to share experience and research results to inspire innovative ideas for a better Hong Kong.
